HONSTEIN.STUDIO
about.
Honstein.Studio is a visual production studio that turns complicated subjects into film — the kind of work where one animated sequence has to carry an idea that words keep failing to explain. Their whole promise sits in the line they open with: complex ideas, made visible.

challenge.
A production studio is judged on craft, so the identity had to look the way the work is made — precise, deliberate, nothing accidental.
It also had to survive motion. The mark and the system needed to behave as well inside a moving frame as on a still page, and to read on a black screen as clearly as on a light one.

result.
The mark is built from two angled planes that meet like light folding over an edge — a monogram that holds at any size and reads as a shape before it reads as a letter.
The engine of the identity is a spectrum running from warm to cool, standing in for the studio’s own pipeline: idea, frame, light, motion, film. It appears as a thin rule beneath a headline, as a full gradient across a poster, and as the progress bar inside the studio’s own player.
Typography stays quiet and structural so the imagery carries the feeling. The system is defined on black and on light grey, so a showreel slate, a poster and a process diagram all belong to the same family without ever repeating themselves.
