Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of thelikadesign.com (the “Website”). By browsing the Website or sending an enquiry through it, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the Website.

2. What the Website is for

The Website presents my design work — logo and brand identity, graphic design, UI/UX and app design — and lets you send an enquiry. Sending an enquiry does not create a contract. A project begins only once we agree its scope, price and timing in writing.

3. The portfolio and other people’s trademarks

Some case studies are self-initiated concepts, made to explore an idea rather than commissioned by the brand shown. Where that is so, it is stated on the project page. Company names and logos on this Website belong to their respective owners and appear either because that company engaged me, or to identify the subject of a concept. Their appearance implies no partnership with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those companies.

Some of my client work is covered by confidentiality agreements and is therefore not published here.

4. Content on the Website

Unless stated otherwise, the design, text, images and code of this Website are mine and are protected by copyright and related rights. You may view the Website and link to it. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or adapt its content for your own commercial use without my written permission.

If you believe something here infringes your rights, write to info@thelikadesign.com and I will look into it promptly.

5. How you may use the Website

Please do not attempt to disrupt the Website, gain unauthorised access to it, or use it for anything unlawful. Please do not submit other people’s personal data through the contact form without their knowledge.

6. Availability and accuracy

I try to keep the Website accurate and available, but I cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and I may change or withdraw content at any time.

7. Liability

I am not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from your use of the Website. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

8. If you are a consumer

I work mainly with businesses, but if you engage me as a consumer — that is, for purposes outside your trade or profession — you keep every right given to you by Portuguese and EU consumer law, and nothing in these Terms takes those rights away.

Out-of-court dispute resolution. I am not bound, by membership or by law, to any particular alternative dispute resolution body. Should a dispute arise, a consumer may still turn to a competent Portuguese consumer dispute resolution entity — for the Porto area, CICAP — Tribunal Arbitral de Consumo — or identify the responsible entity through the Portuguese Consumer Portal.

10. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms. The current version is always the one published here, with the date of the last update at the bottom. If a change is significant, I will say so on this page. Continuing to use the Website after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
