Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data thelikadesign.com collects, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask me to do about it. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The short version. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising trackers. I never sell your data and never share it for marketing. If you write to me through the form, I use what you send for one thing — to answer you. A few ordinary service providers handle that data on my behalf: the company that hosts the site, my email provider, and the tool where I keep track of enquiries. They are all named below. You can ask me to show, correct or delete anything I hold about you at any time, and I will do it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

I am the controller of the personal data described below.

I have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as my activity does not require one.

2. What I collect, why, and on what legal basis

When you send the contact form. Your name, email address, the budget range you select, how you found me, and your project description.
Purpose: to read your enquiry, reply to it, and discuss a possible project.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. If your message does not lead to a contract, I rely on Article 6(1)(f) — my legitimate interest in answering enquiries about my work.
Is it required? Giving this data is voluntary, but without a name and an email address I cannot answer you.

When you email me directly. Your email address and whatever you choose to write.
Purpose and legal basis: as above.

When you simply visit the Website. My hosting provider records technical data in server logs — your IP address, the pages requested, the time of the request, and your browser type.
Purpose: to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in running a secure website.

3. Cookies and tracking

This Website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking technology. Nothing is stored on your device, which is why you are not asked for cookie consent. Fonts are served from this domain rather than an external font service, so opening a page does not disclose your visit to any third party.

4. Who else processes your data

To run the Website and handle enquiries I rely on the providers below. They act as processors on my instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes:

Vercel Inc. (United States) — hosting the Website and its server logs.
Web3Creative / Web3Forms (India) — delivering contact-form submissions to my inbox.
Notion Labs, Inc. (United States) — storing enquiries so I can keep track of them.
Namecheap, Inc. — Private Email (United States) — hosting my email.

I do not sell your data and I do not share it for advertising. I may disclose data where the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

The providers listed above process data outside the EEA. Those transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR — either an adequacy decision, including the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Vercel is certified, or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You may ask me which safeguard applies to a particular provider.

6. How long I keep your data

Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
Enquiries that become projects: for as long as we work together, and afterwards for the period Portuguese tax and accounting law requires those records to be kept.
Copy held by the form service: 30 days, after which it is removed from its dashboard.
Server logs: retained by the hosting provider for a short technical period.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask me to:

give you access to the personal data I hold about you;
correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
erase it;
restrict how I use it;
provide it in a portable, machine-readable form;
stop processing it where I rely on legitimate interest — you may object at any time;
withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent, without affecting what was done beforehand.

Write to info@thelikadesign.com and I will reply within one month. Exercising these rights costs you nothing.

8. If you want to complain

You can lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority:

9. Automated decisions

I make no automated decisions about you and carry out no profiling.

10. Security

The Website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to enquiries is limited to me, and the providers listed above are bound by data processing agreements. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy. The current version is always published here with the date of the last update below. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, I will note it on this page.
